Buzz Lightyear entered movie folklore with the film Toy Story, but June 2008 sees him enter a new adventure as he blasts into space aboard space shuttle Discovery!
Wow - what a coup for Disney!
Someone over there must be popping the champagne corks at such a great marketing ploy.
It's part of Nasa's drive to get more kids interested in space exploration - nothing wring with that.
I guess had they come up with their own toy astronaut, the general kid reaction would be 'yawn, sub Buzz rip off' so why not go the whole hog and have the real Buzz Lightyear!
