Carla Gugino hot in Watchmen
If you liked her in Night at the Museum and Spy Kids, you’ll love her in Watchmen. As a fetching PR-savvy burlesque dancer, Florida-born Gugino lights up this graphic novel, infusing Sally Jupiter, aka Silk Spectre with style and sensuality. Gugino starts at 25 in the 1940s, and ages to 67 with full prosthetics in the 1980s. As a costumed crime fighter in a Bettie Page hairdo and skimpy costume, she gets raped and kicks ass. Watchmen is clearly one of the most anticipated movies of ’09. The first graphic novel to take the action hero concept to its logical , albeit absurd limit, redefining and reinvigorating the genre.
