InezHigh School Musical - Stars Already Fading?

Now, we all know the stars of High School Musical, Vanessa Hudgens, Zac Efron, Ashley Tisdale, and Corbin Bleu. But have the stars really got a future? Zac Efron is having huge success in Hollywood, with films such as 17 Again and Hairspray being huge successes at the box office, as well appearing in the music video for 'Say Ok', by Vanessa Hudgens. Zac appears to have no trouble landing film roles and appearing in magazines, yet has turned down recording contracts, saying "... acting is my main priority".
Girlfriend Vanessa however, has not had as much success in the acting world, and has instead chosen to pursue her musical career. This has not been an overly successful endeavor, with her last album, Identified, dropping out of the Billboard 200 only 8 weeks after its release. Her newest film, 'Bandslam', is due to be released later this year, with two more films in pre-production. It seems that Vanessa has steered back onto the acting course, after a brief stint in the music world.
Unlike her colleague and friend Vanessa, Ashley Tisdale has had success in both music and film, with a new film, 'Aliens in the Attic', due to be released later this year, along with a new album, 'Guilty Pleasure', also on the way.
But whatever happened to Corbin Bleu? It seems as though he simply disappeared after High School Musical ended. With no new film projects on the horizon, Corbin is currently working on a new TV series, 'The Beautiful Life'. His musical career looks set to continue however, as his follow-up album to 'Another Side', titled 'Speed of Light, was released March 2009. It has been described as his 'breakout' album, as he moves on from High School Musical, and we shall see whether his star lights up, or blows out.
It remains to be seen whether the stars of High School Musical have lasting star-power, but for the moment, they seem to be making it, rather than faking it.
