Should Wesley Snipes Rot In Jail?
April 26th 2008 21:12
Wesley Snipes has been jailed for 3 years for tax evasion convictions.
I don't think that helps anyone - society doesn't need protecting from crimes like these, there is no violence or danger to others involved.
It won't make Snipes a better person.
Surely it would be much better to have him involved in educating society about the mistakes he made?
He has clearly apologised for the mistake he made, having believed he was acting legally.
To me, this maximum jail term smacks of publicity seeking justice officials rather than any benefit to society.
